Porcelain veneers are resistant to staining. This allows veneers to maintain their bright and attractive appearance for several years. When porcelain veneers stain, however, they will need to be replaced in order to restore an attractive appearance.
Like all dental restorations, porcelain cannot be whitened. Teeth adjacent to veneers can be lightend with topical treatments, but dingy or stained veneers will need to be replaced individually to maintain consistent results.
