Invisalign‘s clear plastic aligners are designed to subtly move your teeth from crooked and crowded to straight and attractive. The movement happens so subtly that you may not be able to see it right away, but you should be able to feel it the day you put in your first aligner.
Most people report feeling some mild soreness for a day or two after putting in a new aligner tray. After wearing the aligner for two weeks, it’ll be time to put in the next one to keep the process going. At which point you may experience some discomfort again. Some trays result in more discomfort than others, depending on which teeth are being moved and may be more sensitive than others. In general the level of discomfort tends to be less than that reported by people following their appointments with an orthodontist for the tightening of traditional braces.
