Dental x-rays are taken yearly as they allow your dentist to see what is not visible to the naked eye. The amount of radiation is minimal as our office uses digital x-rays. The only time x-rays will not be taken is on a pregnant woman in her first trimester and any patients undergoing head or neck radiation.
